Description of the episode:

It has become fashionable to deconstruct everything, especially Christianity, without any desire to rebuild something closer to the real Jesus Christ and the way of life he offers us.

Honest doubt about what we have learned is a good thing. In fact, healthy deconstruction can create great spiritual growth. But doubt can also cause someone to lose faith. Our guest says we can question our faith without losing it.

AJ Swoboda (PhD, University of Birmingham) is Adjunct Professor of Bible, Theology and Global Christianity at Bushnell University. He also leads a Doctor of Ministry Program in Holy Spirit Leadership and Ministry Practice at Fuller Theological Seminary. He is the author of several books, including Christianity today 2019 Book Award Winner (Spiritual Formation) subversive sabbath (Brazos Press, 2018).

His latest book is After Doubt: How to Question Your Faith Without Losing It (Brazos Press, 2021). This book is an indispensable aid to skeptics and to those of us who seek to help them.
